1. Who We Are

ShopSupplier is a digital catalogue platform operated under thoibatrader.com. We help suppliers in India create public product catalogues that can be discovered on Google Search, with orders placed via WhatsApp.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

From Suppliers (at registration):

Full name and shop name
Email address (used for login and password reset)
WhatsApp number (shown to customers for order contact)
User ID (your unique public shop identifier)
Shop address and GST number (optional, if provided)

From Customers (at order placement):

Name, phone number, delivery address, city, state, pincode
Order details (products, quantities, amounts)

Automatically collected:

Browser type and device information (via standard web logs)
Pages visited and time spent (via Google Analytics)

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your supplier account
To display your catalogue publicly for Google indexing
To forward customer orders to your WhatsApp
To send password reset emails when requested
To improve platform performance using analytics

4. Data Storage

All supplier and order data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in Google Cloud infrastructure. Product images are stored on Cloudinary CDN.

Firebase applies industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use Firestore Security Rules to ensure each supplier can only access their own data.

5. Public Information

The following information is intentionally made public so Google can index your catalogue:

Your shop name and catalogue URL
Product names, prices, descriptions, and images
Your WhatsApp number (so customers can contact you)

      📌 If you do not want your WhatsApp number publicly visible, you can remove it from your profile in the admin dashboard.
    

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use ShopSupplier. This may set cookies in your browser. Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify individual users from it.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Third-Party Services

ShopSupplier uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — Authentication, database
Claudeflare — Global Hosting & Security
Cloudinary — Product image storage and delivery
Google Analytics — Usage analytics
WhatsApp (Meta) — Order communication between suppliers and customers

ShopSupplier is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp™ or Meta Platforms, Inc.

8. Data Retention

Supplier account data is retained as long as the account is active. Order data is retained for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us via WhatsApp.

9. Children's Privacy

ShopSupplier is intended for use by businesses and adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of ShopSupplier after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
